We attended an Airbus meeting at the Paris Air Show. The company reiterated its outlook for 2017, which, despite decent order intake at the air show, still features a book/bill below 1. Management expects deliveries and cash and profitability to be back-end-loaded in 2017. By 2020, management thinks it could double EBIT, implying operating margins above 8%. If everything falls into place perfectly, we think Airbus could surpass its long-term EBIT target.
