Capital Opportunities Drive Alliant Energy Earnings Growth, Higher Fair Value Estimate
We are increasing our fair value estimate $1 per share to account for Alliant Energy's increased capital plan. Alliant Energy reported third-quarter operating earnings of $0.80 compared with $0.81 in the year-ago period. Management narrowed 2016 EPS guidance to $1.84 to $1.92 from the previous $1.80 to $1.95 range, in line with our $1.90 estimate.We forecast 6.8% annual earnings growth rate through 2020, in line with management's 5%-7% target.
