Alnylam Progresses Pipeline Candidates in 1Q; Raising FVE to $56
Alnylam released first-quarter results showing higher operating expenses than we originally anticipated, reflecting the company’s robust pipeline progression. We are raising our fair value to $56 per share from $55, which is primarily driven by our updated assumptions for U.S. corporate tax reform effective 2018 and partially offset by our higher expected general and administrative costs as the company prepares for anticipated patisiran commercialization in 2018 (top-line phase 3 data is expecte...Alnylam Pharmaceuticals is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company developing therapeutics based on RNA interference (RNAi). RNAi is a biological pathway within cells for sequence-specific silencing and regulation of gene expression. The company has two RNAi-based medicines, ONPATTRO? (patisiran) and GIVLAARI? (givosiran). ONPATTRO is approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of the polyneuropathy of hereditary transthyretin-mediated amyloidosis in adults and has also been approved in the European Union, Japan, Canada and Switzerland. GIVLAARI is approved by FDA for the treatment of adults with acute hepatic porphyria.
