Amerisource Reports a Decent First Quarter; Slowing Generic Pricing Remains Material Headwind

Amerisource reported top- and bottom-line results that matched our expectations and we are reiterating our $101 fair value estimate. The firm is still upgrading several parts of its overall operations in order to efficiently service the increasingly complex large customer contracts. These investments will weigh upon near-term profits and cash flow, but should be highly leverageble once Amerisource ramps its volume and becomes more comfortable with the operational adjustments.
