AngloGold Ashanti’s performance tends to weight toward the back half of the year, with the first quarter usually being the smallest contributor to the full year. Despite that, the company turned in a pretty solid start to 2018. The company produced 824,000 ounces of gold at all-in sustaining costs (AISC) of $1,029 per ounce.
