Paul Singer's high-stakes game of chicken with wide-moat rated Berkshire Hathaway hit a higher gear this past week when it was disclosed that his hedge fund firm, Elliott Management, had acquired an additional tranche of bankrupt Energy Future Holdings' debt that could be used to block Berkshire Hathaway Energy's $9.0 billion bid for Oncor Electric Delivery.
