China Telecom More Competitive in Mobile and Holding on in Fixed Broadband Market Share
China Telecom’s subscriber numbers over 2018 and January 2019 showed trends from recent years of increased competition in the mobile market with China Telecom taking share continuing, but China Mobile dominating the fixed line broadband market largely at the expense of China Unicom. China Telecom is holding on grimly in fixed broadband. In the three years from 2014 to 2016, post the introduction of 4G, China Telecom only added 24% of total new mobile customers and China Mobile added 67%. However...China Telecom is a full services integrated information service operator and wireline telecommunications and broadband services provider in the People's Republic of China. Co. offers wireline and mobile telecommunications services including wireline voice, mobile voice, internet, managed data and leased line, value-added telecommunications services, integrated information application services and other related services. As of Dec 31 2010, Co. had wireline access lines in service of approximately 175 million, wireline broadband subscribers of approximately 63 million and mobile subscribers of approximately 90 million.
