Despite a sequential improvement in organic sales in the third quarter (up 1.5% from flat in the second quarter), it is hard to suggest that Colgate’s top line has returned to the more robust gains--averaging 5% underlying growth each year since fiscal 2009--that have historically characterized its operations, particularly as this still lags its long-term aims of 4%-7% growth. Oral, Personal and Home Care products include toothpaste, toothbrushes and mouthwash, bar and liquid hand soaps, shower gels, shampoos, conditioners, deodorants and antiperspirants, skin care products, dishwashing detergents, fabric conditioners, household cleaners, and other similar items. Pet Nutrition products include specialty pet nutrition products manufactured and marketed by Hill's Pet Nutrition.
