Solid Growth Continues for CVS Health, but Profit Remains Pressured
CVS Health reported another mixed quarter as decent revenue increases were offset by material profit declines. However, we are reiterating our $104 fair value estimate as the firm’s performance met our exceptions. CVS was able to drive excellent PBM claims growth over the quarter as adjusted claims increased 21% to 303 million. Positively, management mentioned that the 2017 selling season was highly successful with $4.6 billion in net new wins and reported a 97.5% client retention rate.
