Geberit's 2016 Helped by Tailwinds; We Are Skeptical That the Growth Is Sustainable
Geberit’s 2016 results benefited from a serendipitous convergence of lower raw material prices, a couple of extra shopping days, and favourable year-over-year revenue comparisons, with this year’s rebound in the European construction markets. We do not expect medium-term growth to sustain the 8% reported and 6% organic growth in 2016, as we think the company’s noncore markets, on which its future growth depends, will be more competitive than the market expects.
