ING 1Q18: While Revenue Generation Is Subdued, Lower Loan-Loss Provisions Help Net Income Increase

No-moat and stable trend rated ING reported its first-quarter 2018 results and posted EUR 1.2 billion net profit for the quarter, indicating an increase of over 7% year over year. On the revenue line, while net interest income increased slightly, fee and commission income saw a 3% decline versus the year-ago quarter.
