MarketAxess had a slight step down in results for its second quarter, and we see it illustrating that this company’s growth story can be a bumpy ride. The company reported revenue of $97 million, 6% lower than its record first quarter of 2017 and only 1% higher than the previous year. Sequentially, the revenue decline was due to lower U.S. high-grade, Eurobond, and U.S. high-yield bond trading volumes.
