Narrow moat-rated Meiji Holdings posted a solid set of fourth-quarter results with sales down marginally and operating profits up 11%. It beat the full-year earnings guidance and our expectations. The four-quarter operating and net profits came in 10% and 26% (2% and 5% on a full-year basis) above our expectations in part due to unexpected royalty income from licensing a drug developed for Parkinson’s disease.
