Narrow-Moat Pernod Outperforms in First-Quarter Fiscal 2017, Thanks to Irish Whiskey
Pernod Ricard delivered a strong first quarter in fiscal 2017, with 4% organic revenue growth, driven by the Americas segment. We had slightly underestimated the firm's rebound in the United States, and have raised our 2017 organic growth forecast by almost a percentage point. However, we had also underestimated the negative impact of continued currency headwinds.
