Strong economic momentum has led to piles of cash next to Republic Services' trash.

We raised our fair value estimate to $54 from $50 for narrow-moat Republic Services due to our forecast for faster pricing and volume growth due to strong 2017 performance. Fourth-quarter revenue grew 8% year over year thanks to large container volume and hurricane-related cleanup work.
