Sasol Provides Full-Year Update; No Change to FVE
Sasol provided its 2017 full-year production metric update, highlighted by decreases in production and refined products. Liquids production declined almost 20% to 1.4 million barrels for the year. Declines were offset by a modest increase in natural gas production. Refined products decreased slightly to 32.5 million barrels compared with 33.2 million barrels in 2016. The company expects to issue its final results in August. Co. adds value to coal, oil and gas reserves, using these feedstocks to produce liquid fuels, fuel components and chemicals. Co. also supplies fuels to oil companies in South Africa and others in South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa. Co. maintains its chemical manufacturing and marketing operations worldwide.
