Sealed Air recently announced the termination, for cause, of CFO Bill Stiehl. While details remain scarce, it appears to have been tied to an SEC request for documentation surrounding the selection of their independent auditor in 2015. Given that the company did not announce any accounting impropriety, we think it's more likely that Stiehl may have benefited from or had personal relationships that influenced the selection of an independent auditor.
