Sun Art Is Exploring New Retail Formats to Fight Against Market Share Dilution by E-Commerce
Sun Art continues to explore new retail formats, as well as controlling store operating costs and staff costs, with the aim of fighting against market share dilution by leading e-commerce players. In the first half of 2017, Sun Art’s same-store sales growth, or SSSG, retreated by 0.9%, partly due to the 2.1% decrease in the food consumer price index. In the second half of 2017, we think SSSG will recover a bit, given that the food CPI has seen recovery.
