Takeda’s reported results for the first half of the fiscal year were boosted by the one-time Teva joint venture gain, but continued foreign-exchange headwinds, divestitures, and impairments weighed on results. That said, underlying revenue (excluding these factors) grew 7.4%, and Takeda is maintaining its mid-single-digit top-line growth forecast for fiscal 2016 while increasing its guidance for underlying core earnings and EPS growth.
