Thomson Reuters gets help fixing its financial and risk business.
Narrow-moat Thomson Reuters reported fourth-quarter and full-year results that were a mixed bag. Revenue was in line with our expectations, while the company improved operating margins more than we had anticipated. Specifically, the improvement in margins within the financial & risk, or F&R, segment was vastly better than we were expecting. For the full year, F&R operating margins were 21.8%, an almost 500 basis point improvement from 2016.
