Thomson Reuters In Talks to Sell a Portion of Its Desktop and Data Business

Narrow-moat-rated Thomson Reuters is confirming that it is in “advanced discussions” to sell its financial and risk business to private-equity firm Blackstone. Though the company has not disclosed a potential price at which a deal could be struck, the Financial Times is reporting that Blackstone intends to purchase 55% of the business, which provides terminals and data to investors.
