TiVo Reports Good Start to Fiscal Year, IP and Product Deals Encouraging; Shares at Modest Discount
TiVo reported a good fiscal first-quarter result with the firm signing both new product and intellectual property, or IP, deals. During the quarter, TiVo signed long-term IP licensing agreements with Roku, Discovery Communications, and DWANGO. We like the fact that TiVo continues to attract customers to its licensing business, which supports its narrow economic moat rating, and gives us confidence in its industry relevancy.
