Toshiba reported tentative earnings results for fiscal 2017 (financial year-end March 2017), which are again not approved by its auditor, PricewaterhouseCoopers Aarata. While Toshiba insists that the company recognized JPY 717 billion impairment loss for nuclear power business in the December quarter, the auditor doubts that the loss should have been booked earlier, and considers that further investigation is necessary.
