Despite Its Stable of Brands, We No Longer Believe VF Has Garnered a Wide Moat; Shares Fairly Valued

While we maintain our view V.F. Corporation enjoys a competitive edge based on its intangible brand assets, we have downgraded our moat rating from wide to narrow and are lowering our fair value estimate from $84 to $74. We have lowered our moat rating because we no longer believe VF has a cost advantage over competitors. VF, in our view, has a manufacturing and distribution structure like that of competitors and, as such, provides no edge.
