WPP Reported Disappointing 3Q Organic Sales, but Turnaround Likely in 2Q 2018; Shares Undervalued
WPP’s third-quarter organic revenue growth came in below expectations as the North America market remains weak for the firm, given the loss of two large accounts during the last 12 months and ongoing cost control strategies of consumer-packaged goods firms, which contribute to about one third of WPP’s revenue. WPP also lowered its 2017 organic revenue growth and margin expansion guidance, which we believe is currently priced in the stock.
