A narrow vote to confirm Pedro Sanchez as prime minister of Spain

After eight months of political stalemate and two general elections, Pedro Sanchez has been elected as the new President of the Government of Spain. His last attempt to become Prime Minister has finally been successful. As announced just after his victory on November elections, he will govern in coalition with Unidas Podemos (UP). This will be the first coalition government in Spain since the return of democracy in 19 78 .
