ECB July meeting: Taking a breather
We don’t expect any policy announcement at next week’s ECB policy meeting . Based on the latest data, the overall tone of the meeting is likely to be cautiously optimistic regarding the outlook for the second half of this year . At the same time, President Lagarde will stress continuing downside risks and the ECB’s willingness to act again at any point should this be needed.
