Euro area January PMIs signal weak start to the year
The euro area PMI business survey recorded a decline in January, suggesting that the economy lost further momentum at the beginning of the year. T he weakness is mostly concentrated in the services sector, indicating t hat it is government containment measures that are behind the current weakness.
