Exceptionally exceptional
Editorial Never has this adjective been used as much: an exceptional recession, an exceptional rise in unemployment, exceptionally flat curves. Each day has its exceptional event. The positive side in all these exceptions is the hope of seeing an exceptional rebound in the economy, but the rebound could be the exception to this exceptional period. Next week’s release of European PMIs could give us a glimpse of a rebound in activity to come. On the other hand, the final eurozone inflation figures are expected and they will be - you guessed it - exceptionally low. Happy week to all and despite the saying about what to do in May, don’t do as you please.
