France: A boost to purchasing power will have to wait

Everyone would like it to be possible to rapidly distribute additional purchasing power to the French. But it must be realised that: There is no urgency; unlike the other OECD countries, France has experienced neither a distortion of income distribution to the detriment of wage-earners, nor an increase in inequality after redistributive policies, nor an increase in poverty; It is not possible to distribute incomes that do not exist . France suffers from numerous supply problems which limit its production and employment , and until these problems have been corrected and extra potential production has appeared, it is impossible to increase purchasing power, unless one is prepared to further increase the debt burden.
