How high will inflation be in the spring of 2022?

In the spring of 2021, inflation has risen significantly in the United States and slightly in the euro zone. But what will be of inflation in the spring of 2022? It is likely to be very low, because: Given the high level of underemployment, overall wage growth will remain weak; The economic recovery is raising productivity gains, pushing down unit labour costs; Commodity prices have risen due to a shift in the structure of demand towards goods at the expense of services, but this is a temporary development and commodity prices will stabilise or even fall. In the spring of 2022, headline inflation could be around 1.5% in the United States and 1.2% in the euro zone.
