How is it that per capita productivity is higher in France than in Germany, but per capita GDP is higher in Germany than in France?

Per capita productivity is higher in France than in Germany (by 15% in 2019), yet per capita GDP is higher in Germany than in France (by 13% in 2019). How ? The sole explanation is that the employment rate is higher in Germany than in France (by 18% in 2019), due to both a higher participation rate and a lower unemployment rate in Germany. This employment rate gap in Germany’s favour stems primarily from men aged under 25 and over 60 regardless of their education level.
