If there is no longer any real cycle, there is no longer any financial cycle either

The argument that cycles in the real economy have disappeared makes sense. The factors that led to cycles in the past (inflation and rising interest rates, declining corporate profitability) are no longer present today. But if we believe the argument that cycles in the real economy have disappeared, we must also believe that financial cycles have disappeared. If there are no longer cycles in the real economy, then there is no reason for marked share price or credit cycles to persist.
