In Belgium, growth is not weakening too much (yet)
Contrary to expectations, Belgian growth remained relatively resilient in 2019, at 1.3% after a robust performance of 1.5% in 2018. The growth in 2019 is explained by a good performance of private consumption (estimated at +1.3% over the year) and by robust investments (+3.9%), thus offsetting a worsened external balance.
