Is global leadership going to shift from the United States to China?

To determine whether global leadership might shift from the United States to China, we look at: The trend in the weight of both countries’ economi es and their share of global trade; The trend in both countries’ technological level; The weight of savings in both countries and the share of global capital held by both countries; The international role of both countries’ currencies; Both countries’ military capabilit ies . This comparison shows that China is the global leader economically but not (yet) technologically, strategically or financially.
