Is summer finally coming?

Edito The economic recovery is becoming clearer in Europe: PMI of the different countries are higher than expected, the European council agreed to provide a budgetary support of 750 billion euros. Despite this good news, the summer will be busy: the economic figures for Q2 will disappoint , the labour market continues to deteriorate in the United States and tensions with China are escalating . In terms of health, fears of a second wave are increasingly materialising in Europe. Globally, the 15 million cases have been exceeded this week, and about 70,000 new cases a day are registered in the United States. While the summer will offer us several health and economic surprises, we take a break in our Marche Hebdo the time to enjoy our holidays . We will meet on Friday 28 August for the next publication. Since 2016, the Asian euro benchmark covered bond market has experienced substantial growth, with the outstanding volume now reaching €24bn. Despite this expansion, it remains a niche market, accounting for approximately 2% of the total euro benchmark covered bond market. The de-escalation between China and the United States dominated the week, pushing risky assets a little higher. The S&P gained 4.5% over the week and is now 4% higher than it was just before Liberation Day and, more importantly, close to where it was at the beginning of the year.
