Is Trump’s economic policy having the desired effects on the US economy?

Donald Trump certainly wants: Production to be repatriated back to the United States, and therefore domestic production to substitute for imports, and a reshoring of investment to the United States; A reindustrialisation of the United States and support for agriculture and mining industries; The rest of the world to buy more US products. Is he able to show voters that he has succeeded in obtaining these developments ? An examination of trends , since Trump’s election , in domestic production and imports, investment and foreign direct investments, production capacity and employment, industry, foreign trade and exports shows that: Direct and total investment in the United States are moving in the direction desired by Trump; But industrial production, foreign trade and exports are not.
