Should the performance of the US economy encourage the euro-zone countries to change their economic policy?

The US economy has clearly performed better than the euro-zone economy in the recent period. Should this encourage the euro zone to change its economic policy? This does not concern monetary policy, which is highly expansionary in both regions; The United States has chosen to implement a highly expansionary fiscal policy at full employment (overheating theory ), encouraging companies to become more efficient so as to be able to produce more. Could the euro zone do this? Could it finance fiscal and external deficits just as easily as the United States? Does protectionism or the threat of protectionism play a role? Indeed, it seems that industrial production is returning to the United States.
