Social tensions in France: What is different today compared with the period 2002-2008?

Social tensions are clearly greater in France today than before the 2008-2009 crisis . We therefore seek to determine what is different today and is more negative from the viewpoint of wage earners and public opinion compared with the pre-crisis period. There may have been deterioration with regard to: Higher inequality or poverty ; Lower living standards for pensioners or the unemployed; Less generous social welfare ; Higher real estate prices ; A lower employment rate, higher unemployment or a deterioration in the structure of jobs; An income distribution skewed further against wage earners; A lower minimum wage ; Lower (real) disposable income ; We see that the situation has deteriorated significantly between the period 2002-2008 and today with regard to: The cost of real estate; Manufacturing employment ; Real disposable income per household, and to a lesser extent with regard to inequality and poverty, the unemployment rate and the relative level of the minimum wage .
