The coming destruction of manufacturing jobs in the euro zone is going to lead the ECB to try to weaken the euro

There is reason to fear a significant destruction of manufacturing jobs in the euro zone in the future due to the transition to electric cars, weak growth in global trade , the world’s transformation into a service economy and industrial automation . Manufacturing job losses will be an economic but also political and social problem. The ECB w ould be expected to react by trying to weaken the euro, and thus prevent the United States’ expansionary monetary policy from leading to a depreciation of the dollar.
