The general sentiment is gloomy, but French companies are nevertheless optimistic: This is an important message
We hear more and more about a slowdown in growth, and even a recession in the euro zone. Investors are actually talking about a recession in the euro zone and France, and some business outlook surveys are negative. So it is very interesting to see that French companies are optimistic: they are crea ting many jobs , they are planning major investments, they are run ning up debt. Given this obvious optimism among French companies, we should perhaps not give in to excessive pessimism on the European or French economic situation.
