The things Trump is doing that may be detrimental for the United States

We examine the series of decisions made by Donald Trump that may be harmful not to other countries , but to the United States. This is the case of: The expansionary fiscal policy being implemented at full employment (risking deteriorations in foreign trade and in the terms of trade), the primary effect of which is to drive up share prices; The support being given to low-end industries, which may reduce the sophistication of the US economy; Protectionism, if the price-sensitivity of US imports in volume terms is low, as its only effect would then b e to drive up import prices; The contribution of Trump’s various decisions to the overall increase in uncertainty, which is damaging to the United States, an indebted country; The rejection of an alliance with the European Union to call on China to open up its economy more ; The rejection of immigration, which provides the United States with the skilled workers it needs.
