The two problems with negative long-term interest rates

Many observers are concerned that long-term interest rates in the core euro-zone countries have become negative. There are actually two problems: The risk of savers switching massively in to zero-yielding money-market assets; The appearance of a differential between growth rates and long-term interest rates that exceeds the maximum conceivable level of risk premia. This inevitably leads to asset price bubbles.
