Three social challenges for the next French president

The French government will face three major social challenges over the next five years : The purchasing power problem generated by the rise in energy prices and in car prices; The problem created by rising real estate prices; Job destruction due to the energy transition. To meet these challenges, large public transfer payments, investment in residential construction and a massive effort to retrain employees will certainly be needed. Without massive state intervention, a social crisis is possible.
