Timing issues
The main sources of concern today can be summed up in just one question: how long? How long will the war in Ukraine last, how long will commodity prices continue to rise, how long will inflation persist? If these phenomena set in for the long term, time will become murderous: increase in the number of war victims (killed and refugees), speed of the energy transition in order to limit the rise in temperatures, loss of purchasing power and impoverishment of people with the lowest income. Only a correct assessment of this timing will make it possible to make the right decisions on foreign, monetary, and economic policies.
