TMT : TMT BI MONTHLY Consolidation rears its head... again!
The scenario of a consolidation of the French telecom market remains uppermost on the mind of both operators and investors. The example of the Austrian market, one of the few countries where the regulator publishes details of packet values at regular intervals, shows that a consolidation of the mobile segment (from five to three operators) does not necessarily lead to an increase in prices . Besides the market repair potential, what about the synergies showcased on the occasio n of market consolidations? Have they largely been passed on to customers in the form of further price cuts?
