Two versions of the stagnation of productivity in the euro zone

In the recent period, labour productivity has not been growing at all in the euro zone. This could be due to: A short-term stagnation of productivity due to strong creation of low-skilled jobs, which is then a positive development; A lasting stagnation of productivity due to a low level of corporate modernisation, which is then a negative development. Both mechanisms are probably at work in the euro zone.
