We believe the following points need to be addressed: 1. Is the surge in inflation, particularly in the United States, temporary or permanent? 2. How high will long-term interest rates rise when central banks stop buying bonds? Could there be a debt crisis? 3. What is the remaining upside potential for financial markets, given the outlook for interest rates, earnings and investor behaviour? 4. What is the risk of a deterioration in companies’ financial situation and an increase in defaults? 5. What are the growth prospects after the recovery period (end of 2021, 2022)?
