French CPI decreased by -0.1% on a monthly basis in August and increased by + 0.2% YoY . This decrease in prices follows a slight rise in inflation in July (+0.4% MoM) but is mainly due to erratic factors such as delayed summer sales and more generally good price s volatility. Indeed, manufactured products decreased by -1.2% MoM and particularly clothes and shoes (-6.7% MoM). Also, transport prices dropped by -3.3% MoM.
