What have Europeans done with their savings since interest rates became very low?

Interest rates have been very low in the euro zone since 2014. Because of the very low interest rates, can we see a change in the level or a distortion of the structure of savers’ and investors’ savings? An analysis of investment flows and returns on different asset classes shows that the very low interest rates have: Driven up household savings; Channelled savings into money-market assets, corporate bonds and real estate, but not into other asset classes.
